THE ORANGE STALL // Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong // 2017

Oranges, a symbol of good luck in Chinese culture, are sold at a small stall in Sham Shui Po's indoor market.

"Marketplaces are big for me. I worked in quite a large one post schooling for over 5 years, so it is always an important 'must-do' when we visit new cities. Shooting them is actually quite a breeze for me. Doing it in a way that is unique is the challenging part. This little market in Sham Shui Po had an amazing colourful vintage feel about it and the choice of lights provided dark shadows and stark highlights. It was the point of difference I needed to achieve the unique market shot I was looking for." - Leigh
